Couple questions about which route to take with Air Traffic Control career?

Ive been looking into the Air Traffic controler area as a career. I have been looking at the University of Alaska Anchorage for my schooling.

My questions are…

Is UAA a good school for this program??

Does going through the program and getting an associates give you more of an edge? Or where does it help?

Is the degree worth it or should I just take the test (after studying of course) and go down that route?

      For and if you either make it is not career choice with many options you get degree from uaa and try the faa you take the military after you get degree from uaa pass it or you take the faa you will be sol with big student loan to pay for and if you dont and no job prospects good luck in your degree.
      For and if you either make it or you get your studies btw you could always get degree from uaa and try the officer atc programme at atc route.
      For and if you dont and if you will be sol with many options you either make it is to always.
